Innovation Class is about human connection so we used that as our inspiration in creating Social Soul - an immersive, technology-driven installation that connected TED attendees with one another and encouraged real-life interactions.
Your Social Soulmate
Logging in with their Twitter handle, TEDsters were virtually transported inside their Twitter feed. The floor, walls, and ceiling of our installation filled with the images and words of their social footprint. We then employed a custom algorithm to match people with their “social soulmate” – the TED attendee with the most similarities in their Twitter account. Attendees were then connected via a direct message from @Delta that encouraged the two to connect IRL.
