One of our favorites was the Google Store Claw Machine - a custom arcade game that helped spread awareness of the Google Store product lineup and let attendees play for a chance to win awesome prizes ranging from Chromecasts to Nexus phones.
After trying their luck with the claw, guests could crawl through a tunnel into the pile of prizes itself to snap a selfie for some FOMO inducing social content.
We hosted a daily Periscope competition so people who were not at SXSW could have a turn at the claw machine.
Each day, people would tweet @GoogleStore using the arrow emojis (⬆, ⬇, ➡, ⬅) which gave instructions to our claw operator. People would later tune into the @GoogleStore live-stream on Periscope where select entries were executed by our staff, resulting in some lucky winners across the country.
