Two Iconic Brands, One Legendary Tour
For Barbie’s 65th anniversary, the brand partnered with Stanley to launch a collection featuring quenchers that were each inspired by a different iconic era and doll. To build hype around the collab, we created the Legends Pop-Up tour, inviting fans to immerse themselves in the different Barbie eras that inspired the Stanley collection and take home their favorite before it went on sale online.
Music to our ears
We kicked things off in New York City, where fans lined up for hours outside of Legends Records - an immersive space inspired by the music and fashion of Barbie’s most iconic eras. We hosted fans and creators, inviting them to experience the sounds and style of each era through shareable moments that brought the collection to life, complete with a merch zone where we sold (out) the collab quenchers.
Flippin' out in London
We rollerskated our way across the pond to London where we channeled Barbie’s disco era with the Legends Skateway. Guests laced up and skated their hearts out under a shareably shimmering branded disco ball, all in commemoration of Dynamite Barbie: the first black Barbie doll and the inspiration behind one of the star quenchers in the collection.
Keeping the Ken-ergy High
Next we saddled up in Houston at the Legends Saloon, a honkytonk watering hole inspired by the iconic ‘80s Western Ken. From vintage photo booths to legit line dancing classes to a saloon-style bar, fans who stepped inside were compelled to share their experience and pick up a quencher for a rootin’ tootin’ good time at home.
An Iconic Finale
As the final stop on our tour, we highlighted the endlessly iconic ‘60s Barbie, and her accompanying quencher, with the Legends Swim Club in LA. The experience featured synchronized swimmers (in Barbie’s signature Chevron suit), era-inspired photo moments by the pool, and Barbie’s iconic cat-eye glasses for fans to cop and pose in.
